Amani Spa Review

Radisson Blu Hotel Port Elizabeth

This post is long overdue, truthfully it’s 3 months overdue. Writing blog posts are not as easy you all might think. So much work goes into a post and the perfectionist in me makes it even harder.

So here it goes...

I had the pleasure of visiting Amani Spa at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Port Elizabeth last year December, shortly after their launch; and what an amazing experience it was.

My whole Amani experience from my first email conversation with the Spa Manager, Veshara untill the moment I had to leave with a smile in my heart, was wonderful and memorable.

Since I’m not a beauty therapist I thought it’s best to ask the beautiful Mercia, who treated me like a QUEEN, to take you through all the treatments and products used.

Here is a short overview on the treatments and products used as well as a little insight as to how I carried out each treatment.

First and foremost, we had done the BABOR detoxifying vitamin treatment. BABOR is the number 1 brand in the UK, invented by Dr.Michael Babor, with this product you are be able to reverse premature skin from ageing, you are also able to target sagging, wrinkles and pigmentation as well as extremely dry and dull skin to extremely oily and inflamed skin. This product is excellent to target any skin concern.

Detoxifying Vitamin Facial:

Lorelle had visited our Spa for the Babor incredible detoxifying vitamin treatment. This facial is specifically put together for dull skin in need of regeneration, intense moisturise for dehydrated skin lacking lipids. Any skin that needs that extra boost and glow. For this specific facial I had used Vitamin Ampoules which contributes to putting back vitamins into the skin. (You can use up to 10 of these concentrated ampoules, depends on how much of a boost the skin needs). Whilst performing the treatment on Lorelle, I had explained every ingredient and product to her, giving her more insight as to how incredible this product actually is.

Medi heel treatment:

This treatment is specifically designed for those who have extremely hard skin on the feet, caused by winter or lack of foot care. It is designed for those who are unable to remove the hard, unwanted skin with a foot file or foot soak. The Medi Heel treatment is that miracle your feet needs in the depth of winter and the start of a sizzling summer!

Lorelle was ecstatic with the results of this 15minute treatment and her feet was incredibly soft and callus free. She took some pictures of all the skin that I removed and she could not believe her eyes. She said that she would definitely come back for this treatment in the future. She was pleased in knowing that she had the option of purchasing this product from us as well, enabling our guests to perform this treatment themselves in the comfort of your own home.

Mani & Pedi Duo:

Lorelle had also opted to do our Mani and Pedi Duo. This treatment is aimed at guests who are in need of some relaxation and rejuvenation. This treatment consists of a scrub/polish to get rid of all the dead skin cells on the hands and feet, followed by a relaxing foot and hand massage to get circulation back into the body to get rid of tired/swollen legs and arms. I had also buffed the nails to get rid of any ridges, pushing back and nipping off all the cuticles to get a good clean nail bed ready for an amazing nail varnish of your choice.

Thank you Mercia, I couldn’t have done a better job. I loved every minute of my time at Amani and look forward to my next visit. I do think giving the staff a good idea of what my needs were made the process of choosing treatments so much easier. So I definitely advise you take some time to really think about what you and your body really needs before you decide on treatments at any Spa.

I will recommend Amani Spa anytime.
