It’s been a crazy week for me, so having a quiet and relaxing weekend at home is heaven.
I’ve had to restock on some skincare products today and thought it would be fun to share my night skincare routine with you. I have to admit I was not always the Skincare Angel I should be and have paid for it dearly. Sadly I’ve always had acne prone skin and was forced to learn the importance of a good skincare routine. I also have a very sensitive, oily skin with large pores and I have to use foundation daily to cover up my acne scars and skin pigmentation, so a good cleanse and moisturizing are steps I cannot skip. If I do skip them I get big ugly blackheads and terrible skin rashes. Again, I cannot stress enough how important my night time cleanse and moisturizing routine is. So without further ado, here is my 3 step night time skincare routine.
I know there are probably a lot more you can do for a night time routine but I like to keep things simple, so I stick with these 3 easy steps. I remove, cleanse and hydrate.
Step 1: Makeup Removal with Garnier’s Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water
I’ve already mentioned that tinted moisturizer or foundation is part of my every day makeup routine Also part of that routine is my mascara, blush and my lip colour, so do my best to remove all or most of my makeup before I start my cleanse. I really like Garnier’s Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water. I love that it is for combination to oily and sensitive skin. Oh and no perfume for those of you that prefer it. I usually use two cotton pads to clear. If I did a night makeup look I’ll use a little bit more to clear.
Step 2: Cleanse with Eucerin’s Dermo Purifyer Cleanser
Now this my Lovelies is a step I do not rush at all. As mentioned I have large pores and need to maker sure that all the makeup and dirt of the day is gone. I use facial sponges for my cleanse although a cleansing brush gives you a much deeper cleanse. I have read some great reviews on the Clinique Sonic Cleansing Brush, it give a deep and gentle cleanse and works wonders for those hard to reach dirt hugging areas. Step 3: Moisturize with Vichy’s Normaderm Beautifying Anti-Blemish Care
